Burlini’s early training at the Florence Academy of the Arts in Italy greatly influenced his style, which combines Realism with Pop-Surrealism. His paintings are vividly haunting, and humorous. With strikingly dramatic primary colors he explores the human emotional struggle of triumph in moments of chaos and control, intermingling the unusual backstage world of the carnival and theater.
