FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE_______April 9, 2008, Wilton Manors, Florida, USA_________The ELLEN CHARAPKO GALLERY proudly presents Works On Paper Group Exhibition, which opens on Friday, April 18, 2008, 7 – 10 pm. A number of the artists will be present for this Art Walk Reception. The public is invited.

The selected works will range in style and medium, from etchings by Cuban-American artists, acrylic on paper, vividly colored, abstract digital art, mixed media, contemporary black and white photography, watercolor, and pen and ink. This collection is an eclectic mix of artists from America, Sweden, Shanghai and Africa.

Lu Zhide, (Shanghia, China), will feature limited editions from his High Mandarin Collar High Slit, Shanghai in the 1920’s series. Artwork will also include etchings and collagraphy from Cuban-American artist Silvio Gayton. Surrealist, Cesar Garcia and master printer Joáquin González will also be represented. Joe Hernández will feature his latest limited edition series of ethereal digital images. Kristi Sutton Elias, (Los Angeles), will share a new series of limited edition mixed media prints. Photographer, Bryan Bogater, showcases a contemporary, large-scale series of flowers in rich, traditional black and white. The works of fourteen artists in all will be on display in this special and diverse Works on Paper Group Exhibition. Other artists include: Maxwell Britton, (Los Angeles), Lainard Bush, (Pennsylvania), Elizabeth Reed (South Florida), Alex Bodnar (South Florida), and Fredrik Nilsson (Malmö, Sweden).

Works On Paper Group Exhibition will run through May 17, 2008.
